DOLL
"Anything for a price..."
NAME: Doll
TRUE NAME: REDACTED
PRONOUNS: he/any
SPECIES: Construct
A forgotten doll left to rot, trying to find new life beyond his creation.
Description
Doll appears to be as his name implies - a ball joined doll. His skin is not quite skin, but simply a porcelain-like with a texture that feels like flesh. Many cracks litter his body in a similar fashion to scars.
His hair is long in the front but short and unruly in the back. It never grows, remaining the same length and style at all times. The rest of his features are an unusual mix of feathery ears, oni fangs, demon horns, and feline eyes. He stands almost 7ft tall, but stoops and slumps so he doesn't quite appear so large.
His clothes are typically made up of random materials. He makes his own attire which usually consists of draping fabrics that seem slightly skuffed or worn out in places.
Background
Doll was created by a Mage, though who this Mage was has been lost to time. Doll doesn't remember who they were and only has fleeting memories of when they were around.
One day the Mage disappeared, taking with them all of their personal documents and as many of their belongings as possible, leaving Doll on his own in the Mage's mostly empty house. Being a Construct, he was bound by the rules given to him upon his awakening. His two rules were 'Do not leave the house unless instructed to' and 'Do not tell anyone your name'.
The first rule he was bound by was surprisingly easy to subvert. After a long but unknown amount of time, some wandering demons stumbled across the house that Doll resided in. Upon learning the rule, they simply instructed him to leave the house. To Doll's surprise he was quite capabale of doing so. It seemed the rule wasn't explicit as to who the order came from.
The demons guided him to the Citadel, where Doll learned the ways of trading and life beyond the house he had been confined to. He held no loyalty to the Mage who had made him and so he set about creating his own life.
It seemed that Doll was very adept in the ways of trading and selling, and so it wasn't long before he had opened up his own trade shop. He had no specialty, simply collecting, trading, and selling what interested him, eventually amassing a large amount of exotic fabrics, clothes, and trinkets, along with a good number of books and magical paraphinalia.
