Kakyoku is the biological 'child' of Hizashi Yamada and Shouta Aizawa. He was created in a lab by a villainous organisation who aimed to manufacture people with specific Quirks or specific Quirk combinations. They had no idea he even existed until he appeared in the public eye following a mass break-out at the villain's lab.
